A Magical Experience

Senior Day is a chance for guests to enjoy a calm, mobility-friendly morning at the Festival of Trees! All guests who would benefit from this experience are welcome to attend. Retirement and assisted living facilities are invited to bring their residents to the Festival of Trees event before the anticipated large crowds on Saturday and Sunday. Guests will get into the holiday spirit with a live performance, shopping at the vendor market, and viewing the themed decorated trees!

Date/Time: Friday, November 13 from 9 AM – 11 AM

Location: DoubleTree by Hilton – 350 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401. 1st Floor.

Parking: Street parking is available as well as a parking garage attached to the DoubleTree building. A drop off lane is available by the main entrance for buses and other vehicles. Ramps are available throughout the venue for access to all event areas

Cost: $7 per person plus processing for adults 18+. Tickets are free for those 17 and younger with a nonperishable food donation. Tickets can be bought online or at the door with cash or card.
Individuals on site assisting guests throughout the space will receive free admission.

Sensory Day provides an accessible and welcoming Festival of Trees experience for those with sensory sensitivities, and other social, learning, or cognitive disabilities. Accommodation includes a venue layout adjusted for additional space to take in the experience at a preferred pace. Patrons will notice adjusted lighting, sound levels and a designated space away from high traffic/programmed areas. All individuals and families who would benefit from this experience are welcome to attend.
