Senior Day
The Gazette and Senior Day Sponsor Visiting Angels are thrilled to introduce a new event to Festival of Trees 2025. Senior Day is a chance for guests apart of retirement and assisted living facilities to bring their residents to the Festival of Trees event before the anticipated large crowds on Saturday and Sunday. Accessible parking will be available at Lindale Mall with close proximity to the event venue, the old Younkers space. Staff on site assisting guests throughout the space and will be able to get in for free.
Date/Time: Friday, November 14 from 9 AM – 11 AM
Location: Lindale Mall – 4444 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402
Tickets: $5 for adults 18+, and free for 17 and younger with a product donation.
Staff on sight assisting guests throughout the space and will be able to get in for free.
Sensory Day
In partnership with Sensory Day Sponsor Stride Autism Center and The Arc of East Central Iowa, The Gazette is excited to return Sensory Day to Festival of Trees! Sensory Day will take place on Friday, November 14 and will provide a sight and sound friendly environment for individuals and families.
Sensory Day will provide an accessible and welcoming Festival of Trees experience for people with sensory sensitivities, and other social, learning, or cognitive disabilities. Accommodation includes a venue layout adjusted for additional space to take in the experience at a preferred pace. Patrons will notice adjusted lighting and sound levels, designated space away from high traffic/programmed areas, and additional exit options.
